Fhoster is a technology venture started in September 2006, aiming to deliver on-demand information systems to small businesses via an innovative web-based platform called LiveBase, currently under development .
Fhoster's mission is to turn custom information systems (now an up-front risky investment) into an inexpensive commodity available on-demand to any small business for a small monthly fee.
For small and mid-sized businesses who frequently have to build just-in-time, tactical database applications for either production or front-office purposes, LiveBase is also an extremely efficient and error-proof environment for setting up, in just a matter of hours, systems that would take weeks to develop otherwise.

The Livebase platform allows people with no programming experience to create in hours complete information systems which are easy to model: conceptual language allowing to easily merge different models; easy to maintain: configuration control, automatic versioning, validation environment; easy to setup and manage: no hardware/software to install for both modelers and end-users; secure with respect to data availability, integrity and confidentiality; Easy to integrate with other information systems by means of web services; easy and powerful to use even with complex relational data schemas (UML compositions and cardinalities fully supported); scalable to hundreds of concurrent end-users over the web (customers and/or employees).
And thanks to our unique code-generation approach, at any time you can buy the application you have modelled and run it at your own premises as a standard java applicaiton on a fully open-source stack (Linux, Tomcat, MySQL).
